Our ethos

Through play, discovery and meaningful experiences, we prepare children not just for school, but for life.

At Moonbeams Preschool, we believe in nurturing the unique potential of every child in a warm, caring and inclusive environment. Our ethos is rooted in respect for the individuality of each child, encouraging curiosity, creativity and a love for learning through play-based exploration.

We prioritise the prime development of communication and language, personal social and emotional development and physical development in a safe, welcoming, supportive and stimulating environment where all children feel valued and confident to express themselves.

We are committed to building strong relationships with the families and the community, recognising the importance of this for a child’s development.

Guided by compassion, patience, understanding and a broad array of knowledge, we aim to create a foundation that supports life long learning and deep sense of belonging. Moonbeams embraces diversity and encourages the importance of celebrating, learning and teaching of these for children to appreciate everyone is different.

We will aspire to promote kindness, empathy and respect for each other whilst promoting British Values with in the setting.

Our vision

We'll provide a supportive environment to all our children, providing them learning experiences which engage with their interests.
We will encourage curiosity and  life-long love of learning in our children by providing  new and fun opportunities to engage and explore their environment whilst they develop and progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
We will help each child in our care to make progress appropriate to their individual abilities, working in partnership with families to make sure our children reach their full potential.
We will respect and  celebrate the different cultural origins and diversity amongst the children in our care and their families. We will promote a positive culture of tolerance, respect, fairness and understanding for all by teaching our children to be kind to their peers, themselves, and their immediate environment.  We are committed to close links with parents, carers and the local community and will always do our best to  ensure effective communications between all involved.
We will ensure our staff are trained in all mandatory roles in addition to further professional training that benefits their practice within the PreSchool.
